If you’re starting a supplemental feeding program for the first time, or looking to introduce protein feeders to new areas, be sure to mix corn with the pellets to encourage deer to eat the protein feed. Start off with a 50/50 ratio of corn and protein feed, then gradually reduce the amount of corn each time you fill your feeder or until you are sure deer are utilizing the feeder on a regular basis.
