Little Tadpole will be 6 weeks old tomorrow, Sunday, Oct 3.
He is a real character. I love playing with him, great puppy kisses! Being an only child I'm so amazed that he is content to play quietly, alone with his toys. He is such a good boy.

We got a little surprise here at Special Angels Sunday morning.....our little Tiny Tadpole was born at 7am. He is a little fighter especially being such a tiny little guy. He and Mom are both doing great! Black with white feet. Mom is Jesse Mae and his Daddy is Hercules. We seem to have a corner on the market with black puppies here lately.

Well, we had a pretty long night. Started around 5 pm and finally ended at 2 am with 2 boys and one girl. Everybody is doing fine although poor Burnadebt is pooped out. They are all the same color, either orange sable or cream sable. Very nice litter. So proud of my girl, what a trooper.

This is the vaccination protocol we have used at Special Angels for the past 8 years. Seems to be working out fine.

Just a reminder to those whose vets are still pushing annual vaccinations....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All of the 27 Vet Universities in the US have followed the immunization protocol as suggested by Dr. Dodd for years. All of these Hospitals will be changing their Vaccination Programs apparently. This is welcome news and you should print
this out and take it with you to your Vet should you need reinforcement against
over-vaccination.

VACCINATION NEWSFLASH [CIMDA support] RE; J DODDS VACCINE PROTOCOL
I would like to make you aware that all 27 veterinary schools in North America are in the process of changing their protocols for vaccinating dogs and cats. Some of this information will present an ethical & economic challenge to Vets, and there will be skeptics. Some organizations have come up with a political
compromise suggesting vaccinations every 3 years to appease those who fear loss of income vs. those concerned about potential side effects. Politics, traditions, or the doctors economic well-being should not be a factor in a medical decision.

NEW PRINCIPLES OF IMMUNOLOGY
Dogs and cats immune systems mature fully at 6 months. If a modified live virus vaccine is given after 6 months of age, it produces immunity, which is good for the life of the pet (i.e.: canine distemper, parvo, feline distemper). If another MLV vaccine is given a year later, the antibodies from the first vaccine
neutralize the antigens of the second vaccine and there is little or no effect. The titer is not "boosted" nor are more memory cells induced. Not only are annual boosters for parvo and distemper unnecessary, they subject the pet to potential risks of allergic reactions and immune-mediated haemolytic anemia. There is no scientific documentation to back up label claims for annual
administration of MLV vaccines. Puppies receive antibodies through their mothers milk. This natural protection can last 8 - 14 weeks. Puppies & kittens should NOT be vaccinated at LESS than 8 weeks. Maternal immunity will neutralize the
vaccine and little protection (0-38%) will be produced. Vaccination at 6 weeks will, however, DELAY the timing of the first highly effective vaccine. Vaccinations given 2 weeks apart SUPPRESS rather than stimulate the immune system. A series of vaccinations is given starting at 8 weeks and given
3-4 weeks apart up to 16 weeks of age. Another vaccination given sometime after 6 months of age (usually at l year 4 mo) will provide LIFETIME IMMUNITY.

Jesse's pups

Wow, Jesse's pups are really " gettin up"
today. Just overnight they went from blobs to little motovating machines. The little boy is already sticking his head in the water bowl. Their eyes are open and they are already exploring their surroundings. Hope I will be able to keep up with these guys. Will be 3 weeks old on Thursday.

Well, Jesse Mae finally decided to have her puppies yesterday. 2 cream colored girls and an orange sable male ( the orange sable comes from Jesse's Daddy). She has never had more than 2 pups at a time and always has cream pups with Hercules. They are quite tiny, but so far everyone is doing well. Yay!

The orphans say " Hey!" They are now 5 months old and just starting to bloom. Love my babies so much. They keep me busy, but they are well worth it. Samson is, seemingly, the reincarnation of his Grandaddy/ Uncle, my beloved Yoshi and Ruby gets more and more like her Mom, Savannah every day.

HOW MUCH FOR A PUPPY?

Let me say a few words to you, yes you, the person who writes an email to simply ask the price. The person who calls and after hearing a price surprisingly states: “I can buy a cheaper pup elsewhere”. I also address you; the person who doesn’t care about papers because I want “just a pet”.

No dog is “just a pet”.

Behind every pure bred puppy/dog is a BREEDER. I’m using capital letters to differentiate a breeder from a pet factory or mill. A reputable breeder does not breed dogs without papers, that does not protect the integrity of the breed. Registration (papers) are records of lineage that document bloodline and allow one to research any possible health issues present in the lineage. When you tell a Breeder you don’t care about papers what you’re really telling them is you couldn’t care less about the health of the puppy you just want the cheapest thing you can find! When you select to buy a puppy from a reputable and quality breeder, this breeder is responsible for the health of every pup ; both dogs owned and every pup they’ve sold for its lifetime. This breeder will skip holidays, miss sleeping, and most of their personal house space has been turned into space for their dogs . The truly passionate breeder who loves what they breed, puts their whole heart and soul into it. Not only in puppies that are sold, but also in each client who owns a piece of their heart and now is a member of their extended family. This does not take into account any puppy/dog who might get sick or need extra help to thrive. Breeders worry about their babies after they leave and will take one back without question.

A breeder will get their hands dirty, often covered in everything accompanied with birthing. Because that’s what life is about...In the middle of birth and death is life. The wheel that keeps turning. A breeder will do tests, echos, x-rays, analysis, emergency c sections, vaccinations, register litters, research pedigrees, de-worm, as well as microchip their puppies and get them evaluated by specialists.

Last but by no means least, a breeder CHOOSES the family lucky enough to have one of their puppies. Yes, you read that right. A true breeder chooses who they sell to because they are not making money off the sale. There is no compensation that can offset the investment a Breeder has made so they need to be confident its the right fit. Many times saying more no’s then yes...A good Breeder will have different criteria for those wanting to carry on their bloodline, why? Because breeding is not a responsibility to ever be taken lightly, it’s a lifestyle choice set aside for ONLY the few devoted people willing to sacrifice.

Because a dog is never “just a pet” it’s the Breeder’s legacy, a little boy’s best friend, a little girls protector, an elderly persons therapy, a member of the family, someone’s whole world!!!

Worth the share with so much truth in this article. Responsible breeding and owning multiple dogs is a lifestyle and commitment that many are not able to comprehend. 7 days a week and 365 days a year with our lives revolving around the dogs.

Samson and Ruby 12 weeks old

On a happy note.....took this video of the orphans yesterday. They are 12 weeks old this week. Ruby ( lighter colored one) has turned out to be the most perfect lap dog for her Mommy. Samson won't sit still for anything, into everything, he is all boy. It's nice that they have 2 completely different personalities. Couldn't love them anymore than I do!

I finally had a " melt down" at 5pm Sunday night. Struggled through the orphans' feeding, which happened to be our best one yet....go figure. After 9 days of virtually NO sleep I CRASHED. I found out I am really not Super Woman after all. I hit the bed at 6 and slept until 10pm. Feel much better now and just finished our 10pm feeding that went very well. Praying things keep getting better and better for my 2 youngins. I sure do love these guys. If you really want to bond with a puppy try bottle feeding one, Wow! Thank everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers.

General information

We raise quality AKC Registered Pomeranians and ONLY Pomeranians, because we adore the breed and think everyone should be able to experience the love of a Pom. They are very loyal and devoted to their “people”, sometimes a little shy around strangers, but very brave & bold little “watch” dogs. Our pups are raised and live in our home along with the older dogs. They are very socialized and get along well with other dogs. Pups are kept up-to-date on all appropriate shots & de-worming until they are ready to go to their new forever homes, usually between 8 and 12 weeks. We screen all potential adoptive parents in order to try and place our pups in the most appropriate homes (for pups & owners). All pups come with a 1 year health guarantee, copies of parent’s pedigrees and a Puppy Care Kit. Some of our dogs are “Pet Quality”, some have Champion Bloodlines and Show Potential, but ALL of our dogs are great companion dogs. I hardly ever endorse anything....i am a born skeptic, but if something works I want to tell everybody about it. I have been giving NuVet to my dogs for years........especially my breeding dogs ,my old dogs and my puppies. I have seen it shrink tumors and turn my old dogs into puppies again, but this time I started giving one of my older dogs, Bonnie, who has been favoring a hip for the past year, NuJoint DS (double strength) for about a month now and she is running again (instead of hobbling) and I have been noticing her running across the tile floor again. She has always been petrified of walking across the tile floor in the Den. I am a true believer!! Yes, I sell the stuff, but it's because I believe in it and it really works. My "puppy people" have information on NeVet given to them when they pick up their puppies.......you can find info on my website.....specialangelspomeranians.net if interested
