Eight short months ago, my life changed, by attending . It started with a post in the Secret Beach FB Group of my desire to attend this conference but my fear of traveling would not allow me to. After I made that post, Theresa Cox replied, just book your trip and get here you will not be alone, all I ask is that you pay it forward to someone next year who is on the fence. I want to share when I saw her at open and started yelling, "Theresa, you are the reason I am here", she looked at me like "Okay~..this is where the pixie dust in the air spread it's magic dust above our heads. Please allow me the opportunity to recap the last 8 months since open. I want you to know this post is coming straight from my ❤️💙💛💚heart. This post is not meant to come across in a bragging, self-boasting way, but one of opportunity and empowerment, If anyone is on the fence about attending , please step over the line, step out of your comfort zone and just DO IT!!! I made a promise to Theresa Cox , that I would pay it forward to somone for . Well, lots of wonderful things have happened since eBay Open2017, the best thing is the friendship Theresa and I developed. I would like recap briefly some of the highlights that has happend these past 8 months. Again, this is not to brag, but to inspire you to attend and be positive and open to the magic of this event. ~2 months after attacking Theresa in a bar, she was in a plane enroute NY to spend a week at my house helping me with an idea, a diamond in the rough vision for eBay. We worked hard, long hours but played hard. The cherry on top was Theresa got to see Hamilton on Broadway. While visiting me, we had dinner with our dear friends. Theresa was telling him about a product idea she had to help ebay sellers. Two days later, our friends invited us to dinner and presented Theresa with an actual prototype of her idea (another sprinkle of the ebay magic dust). While in NY, Theresa made a plan for us to attend and introduce me to Kathy Terrill at Kathy's NY Meetup group. Kathy, reached out to me last week about being on a panel for the NY office being led by Sunil Rajasekar. This event was streamed not only in the US but throughout the world. I had the privledge to sit along side Kathy Terrill and Joseph DeMarco having a wonderful Q&A session with various eBAy teams. I left 2017 with the feeling that eBay really cared about their partnerships with their sellers. Yesterday, that message was validated more than ever. Thank you Sunil Rajasekar for being a strong, approachable leader. The eBay magic that I experienced at open helped me grow not only as a business but as a person. ..prior to attending I had only 400 listings, I now have almost 1900. Today, I now have 3 virtual listers. Yesterday, I was charged up again with that magic eBay dust. I can't wait for to see what is in store.
