Kershaw’s Office Supply and Office Furniture is a full-line office furniture dealer with the main focus on ergonomics. We offer design services and have a furniture showroom. One of our largest end-users in this area is Sacred Heart Medical Center. We also work with the Department of Labor & Industries to find solutions for their claimant’s individual needs.

Additionally, Kershaw’s is very proud to be currently holding the office supply contracts for Spokane School District #81 and the City of Spokane.

Here is our detailed history throughout the past 100+ years!

1900 – Western Typewriter was founded by Frederick Kershaw at 810 W. Sprague.

1907 – Moved to 719 W. Riverside.

1908 – Moved to 903 W. Riverside.

1919 – Moved to 618 W. Sprague.

1923 – The name changed to Kershaw’s Office Equipment Company.

1925 – Moved to 612 W. Sprague.

1940 – Company was incorporated, now known as Kershaw’s, Inc.

1952 – Company was purchased by Charles & Mildred Yenney, Fred Kershaw’s daughter and son in law.

1962 – Kershaw’s was purchased by Mr. Wesley Melior who had been employed by Kershaw’s since 1930.

1952 – The warehouse building at 119 S. Howard was purchased. This building housed the furniture showroom, shipping department, furniture, and supplies inventory and was also the corporate offices.

1973 – Kershaw’s was purchased by Mr. Rudy Cozzetto, who had been employed by Kershaw’s since 1955 and served as Vice President of the corporation since 1966

1973-1986 – Under Rudy Cozzetto, Kershaw’s grew to include 3 retail stores, a furniture showroom, a machine department, and a printing department.

1986 – Kershaw’s was sold to NBI’s The Office Place, a National chain.

1986 – NBI closed the doors on all their locations and went out of business.

1990 – Rudy Cozzetto bought back the Kershaw’s name and reopened a retail store for office supplies at the 119 S. Howard downtown warehouse location. The operation was run by Rudy’s daughter, Diane Mangano, with Rudy actively rebuilding the customer base based on the Kershaw’s life-long recipe for success, SERVICE.

1993 – Kershaw’s was purchased by Diane Mangano, Rudy’s daughter. Rudy still had an active role in the sales force until 1999.

2000 – Kershaw’s celebrated 100 years serving Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and surrounding areas.

2015 – Under the ownership of Diane and Damien Mangano, Kershaw’s is proudly celebrating 115 years in business.

2020 – marks 120 years Kershaw’s has successfully served the Inland Northwest with office supplies and furniture.
