Check out Sage! She rocking a Spunky Kiwi bandana & is available for adoption! ๐๐๐
BREAKING NEWS! Sage's foster mother adores her and has sponsored her adoption fee for her future home!
Sage is a gorgeous girl! Beautiful golden eyes! Soft droopy lips and a silky fawn coat! She is the complete package! This voluptuous pittie princess has been getting healthy and working on her training in a dedicated foster home for a few months and is ready for a loving forever home! Sage came to us with an intense skin infection on her lower back and hind quarters, likely due to a flea allergy (so it will be very important to keep Sage up to date on flea prevention!). Her gorgeous coat was patchy and she was obviously very uncomfortable. Her infection is all cleared up now and most of her fur has grown back, but she still has a few scars from the experience. We've told her that they look like beauty marks and only add to her elegance and charm!
Like all of us, this girl has been putting in the hours working from home during the pandemic and has become a fantastic indoor companion! She is potty trained in her foster home and willing to be left alone either in a crate or free range without issues. Inside she is mellow, attentive and happy to just be laying down or playing around you! She enjoys snuggling with every human she meets. She takes her cuddle duties very seriously and at almost 60 lbs may be a bit too much for very small children, but she is working on not jumping up so often to show you that she loves you! Sage is still a work in progress outside of the home. She is looking for a home where she can be the only dog to delight her human family, and she doesn't particularly enjoy seeing other dogs out in the world either. Like many princesses she thinks there can be only one! Her foster mom has conditioned her to be walked with a head halter which is great for controlling her when she sees other dogs out on walks. The Tulsa SPCA dog trainer is happy to talk to you about continued training for this issue.
