Lamke Tree Farm

Lamke Tree Farm Lamke Tree Farm is a family-owned, cut-your-own Christmas Tree Farm that was established in 1953.

Lamke Christmas trees debuted in 1962 in the BelScot parking lot in La Crosse. After hauling the unsold trees to the dump, Jim Lamke swore he’d never waste trees like that again, and the cut-your-own farm opened in 1963. The first cut-your-own trees were unsheared Norway (Red) Pine, and were sold for 50¢ each.

🌲 LAMKE TREE FARM will be CLOSED for the 2025 season 🌲

This will be our last year of being closed. The planting, watering, fertilizing, & shearing we’ve done over the last five years is paying off. The fields are once again full of beautiful trees that will make choosing one difficult. It has just taken time.

WE WILL BE OPEN IN 2026!!

We’re looking forward to once again being part of your Christmas celebration. See you next year!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Lamke family 🎄

To our customers: Our lovely little farm had several hard years around 4 to 8 years ago, where we lost most of our crops those years! Because of that, many of those trees that *would have* been perfect size for your homes this year are not alive. Many of you may have noticed that we have had a couple years of short supply recently, and we still expect this for the next 2-3 years. Because of that, we will only be open 1 weekend this year (and likely the next couple of years as well). We are so thankful to our customers, new and returning, and are thankful to you all for sticking with us through this! Thank you all, Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas. See you this Thanksgiving weekend at the Lamke Tree Farm. (10a dusk, Friday-Sunday. Please see our page for details on prices).
