Children are like flowers, the difference between surviving and thriving is often the microclimate where they are planted. Enough sun? Right soil? Right water? The only way to know is through deep understanding of the plant through time, effort, curiosity and faith. But once applied, we can see our children and gardens BLOSSOM making all the labor worth it!

It’s February, and so I’m officially starting to dream of peonies.

With snow in the forecast, of course each and every little red nub on the 300+ peony plants we moved to the new farm this fall, feels like a special promise of a new start, not just for the season, but for all of Zush Flower Farm as well.

It’s a building year, but that means I’ve constructed a boat out of dreams and am letting the winds of hope fill the sails and fly me into this coming year… lots of changes and new, exciting things in store for this little farm!
