"IRISH TEA PARTY" IN MARCH!
We're celebrating St. Patrick's Day a little early this year, on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 & 13. We'll have a great Irish-themed menu, traditional music and sing-along, with 2 seatings each day, at 11:30 and 1:30. As in past years, we will again auction off a free week's stay at a charming cottage in Ireland, as a fund-raiser for Grace Church here in The Plains. VINTAGE BAVARIAN COFFEE SET
Look at this lovely little coffee pot, creamer and covered sugar bowl -- so lovely! Made in Germany by Schumann Arzberg, with gold leaves and flowers on a pale blue porcelain. The coffee pot measures 6 inches tall and holds 2-3 cups. Come and see!

We're currently serving a lovely little parfait that Meggie thought up and Sarah perfected; with lady fingers, fresh peach compote, and a dollop of our own special pastry cream, it's a light and heavenly dessert. The tea of the month is "Peaches & Cream" from our friends at Tea For All Reasons -- a dreamy black tea with peach and papaya bits, calendula petals, vanilla and blackberry leaves, and it is the best of summer in a teacup!

STUNNING LIMOGES DINNER SET!
We have this gorgeous early 1900s dinner service for 8 made by Limoges Elite Works in France. Each place-setting has dinner plate, soup bowl, salad plate, bread or dessert plate, berry bowl, teacup & saucer in gleaming white porcelain rimmed in gold. There are many additional pieces, including serving bowls and platter, gravy boat, covered casseroles, creamer & covered sugar, etc. -- 80 pieces altogether. Come and see!

JULY SPECIAL -- SALADE NICOISE!
Our take on this classic French salad includes herbed potatoes, calamata olives, fresh tomatoes, haricots verts (baby green beans), white albacore tuna, and hard-cooked eggs from our neighbor's farm (where the chickens eat our kitchen scraps!), all on a bed of greens, with our house-made balsamic vinaigrette dressing. So yummy....

Our Story

Crest Hill Antiques & Tea Room is located in the charming village of The Plains, in Fauquier County, Virginia. It's only an hour (but a whole world away) from Washington, DC, just a hop off Interstate 66, in the heart of Virginia's "horse country."

After 11 years here as an antiques dealer with a tea room in the back, in July 2018 we moved to Main Street in The Plains in order to focus more on the TEA side of our business. We now have expanded seating in our Tea Room and a refined menu offering light fare and British-style Afternoon Tea service Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-4pm. We carry over two dozen loose tea blends, all of which can also be packaged for purchase. We do welcome walk-ins, but reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends.

While we no longer carry large antique pieces, we still have lots of fine china and tea accessories, vintage jewelry and silver, artwork, books, home decor items, and gifts. We love to find interesting, unusual, and beautiful things that add a touch of elegance, nostalgia, or whimsy to the home...that's why our slogan is "Come find something special!" We look forward to seeing you soon!

Thank you for the recipes book! I'm excited to be making the Turkey Sandwich (but I may use whole wheat bread and not croissant) and the Egg Salad for this seasons Old Rag Master Naturalist class #1. Really appreciate how this little book helps make the simple outstanding!

Always a delight we enjoyed a Full Monte tea with Crest Hill. A relaxing tea service the scones sandwiches and sweets were delicious. Great curry chicken salad sandwich, turkey cranberry and pears, cucumber, and a scrumptious Branston Pickle and cheese. I know I haven’t listed everything but enjoyed it all.
Everything shows attention to detail giving you a very soothing experience. Crest Hill Tea Room does a wonderful tea, excellent gluten free options, caring staff all conscience of the COVID-19 mask rules, social distancing and cleanliness I hope to make drive from Richmond again soon.

Yesterday my daughter, granddaughter and a friend attended the Downton Abbey Tea and had the most delightful time. The food was excellent and plentiful. It is such a comfortable and welcoming tea room The owner,Sally is a great hostess . Such a wonderful time we are now planning our next visit.

Thank you Sally, Bobbie and Claire, Corinne Vilar Thomas, our Newcomers and I had a fabulous time today! The special Holiday Tea was delightful and delectable. Many of us brought home treasures ... we all brought home happy memories! Thank you again for making us feel so special!
