My first ever commission paintings were a success! My client picked them up today and she was so happy!
As you will see, there is space left on the bottom, normally I would letter names/ last names on the canvas but I had the pleasure of painting these for another fellow lettering artist so she will be lettering the names on the canvas’!
This project was a ton of fun! It got me out of my comfort zone a lot and I really enjoyed the process.
This style of art (faceless portraits) are so unique in my opinion and really love doing these!

I have some ideas for some new art that’s very similar to this that I really want to try! I can’t wait to show you all the cool projects I have in store!

I love doing these commission pieces! This one was extra special to me. I was given free rein from this client so I took the opportunity to express what I’m going through right now.
The first 3 months of the year I was experiencing some mental obstacles as well as creative burnout. It was a really hard time for me and I felt like such a failure every day.
This past month I actually started counseling to really help me out of this rut.
I believe God has created us all for a specific purpose and I have huge goals for my life, especially with my business. I want to help people. This world is so dark and I know so many people feel lost and I want to be a light to those who need it.
April 2024 was the time I began to really feel myself start to shift.
I love to think of myself as a butterfly. 🦋 I feel like I’m finally in my little chrysalis stage, just preparing myself to one day sprout wings and truly fly.
This painting was a representation of the beginning of this stage as well as a representation of me coming out of the darkness I’ve been in.
I’ve never done a painting this colorful before and it was a lot of fun. I hope the owner of this painting is reminded every day that although life may get hard, that she is not alone in the darkness, that she is loved, and that she will not remain in that darkness forever, eventually (when the time is right) she will come out of it and she will blossom 🦋🌸
