This is shabby chic restyled and upcycled in a wreath of old quilt strips, cotton lace, vintage jewelry and an antique lace collar. Just things I love around our house we’re all put together with an attempt to make a flower out of tie dyed lace. Let me know if you like the idea. I plan to keep working on the “flower”.

Vintage split cane basket weave seat is the centerpiece of this late 18th century style child's chair. It has canted legs, shaped, curved splats with flat arms and painted a primitive blue with wear showing the wood below. It is made without nails. Candler Chairworks in Candler, NC made these excellent reproductions during the height of Early Americana design. Original high chairs of this primitive style made over 200 years ago are even today very expensive. 36" tall and 16" x 16" wide and deep. Prefer pick up or will deliver for a fee. SOLD! Beautiful 1934 Ideal Toy Company original Shirley Temple doll complete with dress, button, shoes and undergarments. She was in pristine condition almost like a doll admired and loved but never played with. A note on her box ( not original ) said " mawmaw`s doll Christmas 1934. She was at an estate sale and had been stored in the house, not a basement or attic which destroys the composition body by the fluctuation of temperatures. If you have a doll with a composition body be sure to keep it in a temperature controlled environment. She is a rare and special doll that has found a new home after 85 years!

There is a still life of pears in a bowl almost folk art in style in simplicity and a Grecian spa landscape with a portico of columns decorated with statues overlooking a calm body of water. Both are signed but artists are unknown based on my research. Hand made cross stitched standard pillowcases from an estate and a heavy crystal decanter with 6 glasses free of chips or cracks. Sold! This wormy chestnut sign was a form of advertising used by the long gone Farmhouse Inn that once overlooked the gorge in Blowing Rock, NC. The family style restaurant served great food along with music and the most awesome view anywhere. The 3 story old house and buildings were burned to the ground after a huge auction sold the contents and the land was sold. So goes progress.

Fine bone china by Oscar De la Renta in the English Tapestry pattern made from 1990 -1997. There are 8 soup bowls, 8 salad plates, 2 vegetable bowls, 5 teacups, 1 chop plate, 1 oval baking dish and a 3 quart covered casserole (not pictured) and 3 individual ceramic baking dishes. Beautiful, unused condition for an odd assortment of china that would be a good starter set or complete one you may have. If you want to own a piece of Blowing Rock, North Carolina history this is your chance! The Farmhouse Inn once stood overlooking the John's River Gorge, across from the Blowing Rock attraction. It was a huge, old home where you could enjoy dinner and musical entertainment from aspiring student talent. The peaceful view from their gazebo was unparalled! The property had also served as a motel once. Unfortunately, all was sold and it took 2 auctioneers 2 days to sell the contents. The house was too large to save. It was burned down. My sign is wormy chestnut and these were nailed up on the trees advertising all the good country cooking awaiting you. All were painted in these pastel letters. I got only one. It is available in booth 45 at Antiques Main between Boone and Blowing Rock on 321. $129.
