Few things will spark holiday spirit more than attending the production of The Nutcracker and viewing holiday lights downtown. I used the occasion as an excuse to go full glam mob wife in the new Metallic Pleat Maxi Dress in Gold, the Superb Clutch, the Double Heart Earrings in Gold and the Micro Gold Herringbone Necklace. My coat is also from the store two years back - it’s still one of my favorites. I am officially feeling festive and I am looking forward to seeing everyone on 12/12 for a Late-er Night of shopping & dining specials and more festive activities on

Holiday looks that mothers and daughters might actually agree on*. These dresses are chic and flattering without being overly revealing. We love the bold rose print on the maxi dress and the bow details on the mini dress. Pair with rose gold or gold jewelry like we did here. And pearls work perfectly as well. You can wear flats, boots, or heels with either dress. And it would be easy to dress the rose dress down with a cream faux fur vest, lots of layered jewelry and boots if you want more of a boho vibe. Both are available in-store and online.

One of our favorite new items in the store is the gummy bear night light. It comes in purple, pink and blue and doubles as an iconic pop art piece. It’s cordless and you simply have to squeeze the bear’s belly to turn the light on and off (scroll for video). Set the 60 minute timer to fall asleep with the light on or simply use it as a cool bedroom, fort or slumber party light. It comes with rechargeable batteries that last 14 hours with each charge and it’s wall mountable. Safe for ages 3+. Available on our website and in-store.

We know that many of you take vacations to warmer locations November through January, so we are bringing in a few resort pieces ahead of the normal fashion calendar. They aren’t on the floor yet in the store because we have limited space, but they are in the back and you simply need to ask for the resort collection and we will bring them out. They are also available on the website. They worked perfectly for my long weekend in Miami. Here are the details for each look:

The Wavelength Dress
Occasion: Perfect for a night out in air conditioning or a chillier day. A chic, but super comfortable option.
Accessories: I am in love with these statement earrings available online and in-store (ask). Slides and bag were from the store a few years ago. Normally I would pair this dress with a chunky heeled sandal or espadrille.

The Blue Maxi Dress
Occasion: I wore it during the day over my bikini while we were walking around. It also works for a casual evening dress (add heeled sandals and a straw clutch).
Accessories: Add a cute beach bag, aviator sunnies and colorful sandals for the daytime.

The Muumuu
Occasion: I love the colors and pattern of this piece. It’s perfect for by the pool and around the resort.

Well, this is exciting! A big thank you to for bringing this to life and telling our story. ❤️ Join us this Friday, 11/22, from 5-7pm, as we celebrate the release of the Our Evanston holiday issue.

Also, we will have one of our biggest sales of the year running all day long (11-7) to celebrate Pink Friday (Black Friday for boutiques). Stay tuned for more details!
