MarketPlace on Oakton

I shopped at Marketplace On Oakton today, and was surprised at how few of the patrons were wearing masks, despite Skokie being in a high Covid transmission area. I also saw one employee and two vendors stocking shelves who were maskless. When I mentioned this to the cashier, she said they could not do anything unless Skokie tells them to mandate masks in the store---which is false, as the IL Dept. of Public Health clearly says businesses can require masks.

Skokie's website says: "Individuals should follow the recently updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention masking guidance which recommends everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas with substantial and high transmission. This recommendation includes employers, retailers, restaurants/bars, fitness/recreational centers, libraries, governmental entities, healthcare facilities and other public venues. "

Let's shop elsewhere until there's a Must Wear a Mask sign on the door.

MarketPlace on Oakton is the favorite Skokie shopping destination of Performing Arts Center Board Vice-Chairman Barbara Reeder. March 2017... Use or freze by... Well they are frozen. Wish I still had my receipt from you Bozos for selling these to me 3 weeks ago. Then again I suppose its my own fault for not checking the date myself before purchashing them. Who am I to think someone would actually keep this in their store 17 months after the freeze by date. Just curious. Would you be ok with this if you purchased this from another store and didn't notice it right away??? Glad they were on clearnace. Thanks for making sure the garbage gets fed. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

After shopping here for years, I recently discovered that Marketplace DOES NOT HONOR ITS SALE PRICES! Went there to buy lamb shanks that were advertised as on sale, but they had none.....so I asked if I could get a rain check. They DON'T issue rainchecks; but yet the advertise the product but don't have any available to sell? Unethical and possibly illegal. I WON'T BE SHOPPING THERE AGAIN!

I like marketplace alot. The women there are always very nice to me. I always buy green onion there.
