No one can give me a straight answer and no one wants to take responsibility and none of this is my fault…...unbelievably fantastic “Customer Service”! “Greg, unfortunately with this being a UPS Store you would need to remain in contact with the corporate offices as they would be able to work on this. -Andrew” Bottom Line: I shipped a TV from my Mother who had just passed away to my Brother in Wisconsin. I had used the local UPS Store in the past with no issues. I paid for the “Extra” insurance and was never told I should use their packaging service to ensure the package would arrive safely. Somewhere along the way it was dropped and broken. I contacted the local UPS Store and they said it was all being handled. They never contacted me and never told me how to proceed until it was too late. No one told me to hold onto the package for inspection. After over 7 months of getting the run around and dealing with my Mother’s Death and several emails of being told that my problem “Was very important and would be escalated and resolved” the Claim has been denied. None of this was my fault and no one at UPS or UPS Store is taking responsibility and have blown me off at this point. The UPS Store Rep will no longer even assist me nor accept any communication. She will not refer me to her Supervisor or to a contact at UPS. She quotes “Policy” even though they did not follow their own. “Greg, This is The UPS Store’s corporate office. We are not UPS, we do not inspect, we do not transport or pay out on claims. I previously attached the signed PSO which is legal contract providing you the terms and conditions. If UPS is not given the opportunity to inspect everything, whether you were told or not, the claim will be denied. There is nothing further our office can do. There will be no more communication. ([email protected])” Shame on them and I will never use their service again whenever possible. I recommend the same to anyone who will listen.
