There is so much fake garbage out there, especially on FB marketplace.
Show me a Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth or Walt Disney autograph, I can't tell what's good and what's not. No idea.
But when I look at Sopranos autographs, my eyes wake up and the difference between a real auto and terrible fake is obvious.
This item is on the FB marketplace, and they are terrible forgeries. This was a promotional image for The Sopranos season 6 (2006). How did Nancy Marchand sign it if she passed in 2000?
If you are buying, make sure that it is certed by JSA, Beckett, PSA or ACOA. Some companies which host signings use their own COA, which is good too.
Be careful and use common sense. "It has a COA", doesn't mean it is real. Every fake autograph most likely has a "COA". Unfortunately, somebody will probably buy this item (listed at $2k, if real would be $5k+)
If your gut tells you something is off, you are probably right. Beckett has a quick opinion service, which is a good option. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
