McCoy’s Building Supply strives to make a difference in the areas where we work and live. As a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated business, we are honored to contribute to large and small organizations that matter to our communities.

Every year, during our health fair, Jan Blex, RN, coordinates a headquarters food drive in efforts to end hunger in our local community by teaming up with Hays County Food Bank in San Marcos, Texas.

Hays County Food Bank is passionately committed to improving lives through food assistance programs, nutrition education, and advocacy. They provide food at no cost to low-income households and those suffering from a food emergency due to job loss, medical emergencies and disasters. In 2022, Hays County Food Bank served 153,598 people and distributed 1,176,972 pounds of food to the community.

Thanks to our HQ employees, McCoy’s was able to donate 312 pounds of food. McCoy’s is thrilled to be able to support and contribute to the Hays County community and are thankful to be able to fill some tables this holiday!

Our Management Development Program is a training program for individuals who are passionate about the building supply industry and interested in leading through our management team. Our Trainee’s are provided Classroom Instruction and Skill Training in combination with On the Job Training.

As an Management Trainee, you will be responsible for learning the day-to-day tasks of managing a McCoy’s store, as well as the culture and principles that form the foundation of McCoy’s. We expect our leaders to be fully engaged in our culture and be the starting point of the culture for our store teams.

Various Health Vendors attend our Health Fair in order to bring health information to our employees and every representative is available to answer all questions our employees have. Happy Friday! How about this for a Feel-Good Friday!

Our People Development and Benefits Team hosted a Halloween Event at our Headquarters on Tuesday and prepared a snack to show our appreciation to our employees.

In addition to the Halloween Event, Our Dennis P. McCoy Employee Crisis Fund held a Costume Contest judged by members of our Executive Team in order to raise funds for the organization.

The Dennis P. McCoy Employee Crisis Fund is a grant available to employees to provide limited financial assistance to eligible employees of McCoy’s Building Supply in times of economic hardship.

Did you know that McCoy's currently has 4 Distribution Facilities in Texas located in Waco, Dayton, Pharr, and Midland.

Our Distribution Centers are responsible for receiving, organizing, and moving materials across three states to get our stores what they need to better serve our customers. They sometimes get our store supplies as quickly as 72 hours after an order is placed.

McCoy’s Distribution Centers aren’t customer-facing, but our skilled distribution staff carefully receive and warehouse our materials to give our customers the service they expect from McCoy’s.
