I walked into a wooded area with my camera slung across my shoulder with no intention of photographing anything due to the expected high ISO. Just as I approached a bench for a break, I heard something off to my left. I thought it was a dog, but to my surprise this tiny fawn popped up from amidst the stilt grass. It was so small that it stumbled unsteadily about the area. I was taken back and kept telling it to stay, stay and wait for Mommie. This baby already had a teeny mind of its own and kept walking. I froze and allowed the fawn to create some distance. After what appeared to be forever, I made sure the baby safely retreated in a heavier area of the woods.
Nature is amazingly precious.
