My boyfriend and I just came back from our beautiful baby shower in the bay. We got catering from which is amazing authentic all vegan Mexican food (seriously, go!).
Here's most of the food I ate.. had to hit up Nick's Kitchen for authentic Filipino comfort food. Ive actually received catering from them a couple of times for my family (who are Filipino) and have always been happy with them. Never had their tocilog which, along w/ longsilog is my favorite breakfast dish and it was ON POINT. Besides Filipino they also offer loco moco and chikn katsu 🤤 I reeeally hope they expand (or someone else steps up?) here in Portland 😭
Also finally tried S+M Vegan! Just as I imagined all of their dishes are made with love and great attention to detail. While everything was good I think I actually enjoyed the salad the most.
Had to visit The Butcher's Son. I havent been since they opened up their market (which highlights local vegan vendors along w/ their own meats/cheeses/pot pies etc..)which is BEAUTIFUL. SO happy for them. You can catch pop-ups there w/ Om Sabor there on Tuesdays!
Other places I would have loved to hit up given the time and money are Shizen Vegan Sushi Bar & Izakaya (legit ramen and amazing sushi!), (cashew milk ice cream shop!), Rainbow Grocery to pick up some The Uncreamery cheese , Souley Vegan for chikn and sweet potato waffle or southern fried tofu, "Tofoo Com Chay" in San Jose for legit vegan Vietnamese soup, Golden Era Vegan for Vietnamese overall, for AMAZING Peruvian food, .bake for their gorgeous baked goods...seriously so much diverse great vegan food 🤤💖
