We were so blessed earlier this week to welcome in a girl scout troop for a field trip! With their visit from Springfield, these girls travelled further than any group has to enjoy a field trip with us!
The ladies all got to see how we make our delicious gourmet popcorn, including trying fresh-out-of-the-machine Birthday Crunch, and we had one in the group help us make Loaded Baked Potato cheese popcorn. We had such a such a fun morning!
In 2025, Popcorn Shoppe held 15 total field trips. We just started asking the community if groups would like to see how we make our popcorn. We had no idea how the community would respond to the request.
While we love every field trip we have been blessed to conduct this year, this past field trip hit a number we never expected we'd ever do this year, and the year is not even half over yet.
We have now done our 50th field trip of 2026!
These experiences bring so much joy, both to all the attendees and our staff. We welcome any and all groups, including 4H or Boy Scout Troops, Church Youth Groups, sports team, school classrooms, birthday parties, or really any other reason you and several other people may want to come watch popcorn be made!
We do not charge any money for your group to visit, and we will gift everyone who attende a free bag of popcorn, adults included!, just as a thank you for stopping in.
We are still booking events throughout the summer time, and encourage any teachers, principals or administration of schools to reach out about the upcoming school year and setting dates for later this year.
Thank you to all 50 groups so far this year. We are so happy we could be a reason why all those people had a great time at our store, and we would love to be a reason why you smile today :)
