At the start of the new year I want to start hosting classes at my shop after-hours. I’m thinking one night a week, a different theme for each, repeating monthly. You’d do a subscription for whatever class you want to take and a discount for more than one a month.

Where I need your help- I need ideas for classes!

Since I’ve been out of the hospital I have been a reading machine. So I definitely want to host a book club one of the nights. What other classes would you be interested in?

I’m also thinking I could go live during this time to include all my girls out of state!

Any ideas?

Today is thanksgiving. Holidays are hard for a lot of us, for a lot of reasons. But Thanksgiving can be particularly difficult, especially for those of us who are plus sized.

You deserve to eat whatever you want today, and every day. You don’t have to starve yourself today so you can enjoy your meal tonight. You don’t have to count the calories in each bite. You don’t have to punish yourself with excessive exercise tomorrow. You don’t have to put up with sideways remarks about your weight at the dinner table. You don’t have to “watch it” or “be good” when it comes to food.

Eat what you want today, with no guilt. Food is not inherently bad. YOU are not bad for eating it.

A lot of us will hear remarks about our food intake today, and even more of us will hear other people make remarks about their own. Feel free to stand up for yourself today. Feel free to gently remind your family of all of this today when they’re putting themselves down for eating.

Be grateful for your body today. Be grateful for your strong, thick legs that take you where you need to go, for your soft spots that make you a perfect snuggle companion, for your arms that hold those babies after the food is gone and you’re at the table with your family catching up.

And me? I’m grateful for all of that. And for all of you. You have held me up when I was low, you have given me grace and love and kindness and strength.

Be kind to yourself today like you have been to me. You deserve that and the world❤️
