It’s a great day at St. Joseph Peace Mission!
We have revealed the Nicky Hayden Commons Area! We are truly blessed by the caring hearts of our community that felt our need as much as we did. We are proud to include this space to our campus as we continue to provide exceptional services to the children at St. Joseph Peace Mission. The Nicky Hayden Commons Area will be utilized for recreation, leisure, family visitations, and group therapy activities!
Helping youth become engaged with a meaningful, constructive activity space in their community is an important component to youth development!
This could not have been accomplished without the assistance of many donors that put in the hard work and effort to make sure that this project was completed! It is your blood, sweat, and tears matched with our vision that has provided our children with space for therapeutic leisure in a safe environment. Thank you to Yellow Banks Lawn & Landscape, Diggers INC., Hayden Precision Welding, Hayden Construction Company, Inc., Owensboro Health, Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, All Around Fencing LLC, 3rd Chance Auto Sales LLC, Seth Lawson - State Farm Agent, and the Nicky Hayden Memorial Foundation
We want to give a special thank you to SignPros for their AMAZING WORK on our basketball backboard artwork!!! We did not know if this was possible- never being done, but it did not stop our local sign professionals from producing these beautiful backboards in tribute to Nicky Hayden. Nicky will forever be our rim protector!
We also want to thank our local businesses who partnered with us in support of our children for this event by providing giveaways for the community to enjoy on their visit to our campus! Thank you Embellish Ltd , Legends, Kidstop Children's Boutique and Stride Rite Bootery, Excursions, Bella Ragazza Boutique, Willow and Pine European Market, Adorn Boutique, Come-hither, The Earle, The Willow Tree, Hot Mess Mama Boutique , Peacocks & Pearls The Red Door Lil Bit Sassy, and Studio Slant!!
If you would like to be a part of our everlasting cause we are still looking for donations towards other therapeutic amenities to include in this area, as well as around our campus! We have our eyes set on a large swing set and a brick walkway path, just to name a few things!
Thank you all for your support!
