This certification course covers the full range of less-lethal munitions manufactured by CTS. Upon successful completion, students earn Instructor-level certification valid for four years, authorizing them to train personnel within their agencies.
Qualified operators and training personnel responsible for agency-level instruction and program development should attend.
This is not an instructor development course.
Training includes:
• Impact Munitions
• Chemical Munitions
• Flash-Bang / Diversionary Devices

• History and development of less-lethal munitions
• Legal considerations and use-of-force application
• Chemical agent deployment concepts
• Impact munition platforms (12-gauge, 37mm, 40mm)
• Diversionary device deployment
• Range safety and reporting procedures
• Physiological effects and trauma considerations
• Direct vs. indirect munition deployment
• Instructional techniques and program development
• Advances in less-lethal technology

Medical Notice
Physical Participation This is a hands-on course. Students must actively participate in practical exercises to meet certification requirements. Training may include exposure to chemical agents and other physically demanding activities. Participants must be in suitable physical condition to safely complete all components of the course.
Restrictions Students with medical concerns that could limit participation must obtain medical clearance from a physician prior to enrollment. Conditions requiring consultation may include, but are not limited to:
• Heart or blood pressure issues
• Lung or respiratory problems (e.g., asthma, bronchitis)
• Allergies or conditions affected by chemical exposure
Individuals who choose not to seek medical evaluation do so at their own risk. Students unable to complete required practical exe
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive certification as a Combined Systems Instructor, enabling them to provide instruction to end users within their department. Additionally, certified individuals will have the privilege to procure munitions from Combined Systems, with the proper licenses.
The certification remains valid for four years from the date of completion.
