Not a lot of CEOs look like 11-year-old Zoe Oli. Neither do a lot of dolls. It’s why she and her mom, Evana, co-founded Beautiful Curly Me, a company that creates dolls with hair like Zoe’s to instill confidence in Black and Brown girls.
They were recently awarded a $10,000 grant by Verizon Small Business Digital Ready with a check personally delivered by 17-year NBA veteran, former Atlanta Hawk, and local fan Lou Williams.
Verizon Small Business Ready is a *free* program that offers online classes, coaching and networking to small businesses. It’s part of Citizen Verizon, our social responsibility plan to support 1 million small businesses by 2030 with resources to grow their business.
