COVID safety update: In response to the recent government changes to COVID-19 regulations, we plan to remove restrictions at the majority of FRESHFARM farmers markets over the next few weeks! FRESHFARM *will continue to require masks* in the market and maintain other COVID-19 safety protocols this week.

*Beginning May 28,* masks will be strongly encouraged for all shoppers, but if you are vaccinated, you may choose to shop without a mask in accordance with the new CDC guidance. We also will begin lifting social distancing measures and capacity restrictions starting May 28.

We're looking forward to resuming more normal activities at market while still ensuring the markets remain a safe and welcoming space for all. Thank you for understanding as we work to keep everyone in the market safe!

You've likely seen the announcement from the CDC that fully vaccinated Americans may stop wearing masks indoors and outdoors. Please note that FRESHFARM will continue to require masks in the market and maintain other COVID-19 safety protocols for at least two more weeks while we assess next steps and implement operational changes.

FRESHFARM is a large organization with many stakeholders and partners, and we operate in several different jurisdictions. It is our policy to allow this two-week period following any changes in federal guidelines to establish new policies and effectively communicate changes to our staff, vendors, and customers. As a private nonprofit organization, FRESHFARM reserves the right to implement additional safety measures beyond those required by any local or state rulings to ensure public safety at farmers markets.

Thank you for understanding as we work to keep everyone in the market safe! You can see our full COVID safety policy here: https://www.freshfarm.org/about-freshfarm/covid-19

2020 was harsh for our community. The pandemic left families struggling, facing unemployment, hunger, and isolation. Unfortunately, these challenges are not over, but you can provide hope to your neighbors at the time they need it most.

For too many families, fresh, nutritious food is out of reach. Thanks to donors like you, FRESHFARM is able to offer an UNLIMITED match to shoppers using food benefits like SNAP at the farmers market, doubling their money at a time when access to fresh food is so important. Will you donate to help shoppers afford fresh groceries for their families?

We know that the road to recovery is long, but we’re hopeful for better days ahead. We have a goal to raise $20,000 by June 2nd to support so many of our neighbors who still need help. Your gift will go even farther thanks to a $5,000 match from a generous donor!

Please stand with us to help families buy the food they need to make it through this recovery, and come out stronger on the other side. Give now: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/freshfarm/spring-appeal-2021

The Freshfarm Oakton Farmers Market is growing! Starting this Saturday, April 10, we are relocating to the larger lot behind Unity Fairfax Church (a little further from the road than our previous location).

We're excited that the new space will allow us to bring in new farmers and producers -- including Hillside Meadow Farm, who will join the market this weekend to sell fruits, vegetables, beef, and pork, all year round! We'll have additional new vendors and products joining us in May.

We are so grateful to our Oakton community who shops at this market. Our growth would not be possible without you, and the entire FRESHFARM family thanks you for your support!
