Throwback to a shelter I built using a military parachute, a fire reflector, and a branch awning.
The parachute provided the primary weather protection, the reflector wall helped direct heat from the fire back toward the shelter, and the branch awning created additional covered space for gear and camp tasks. Every part of the build served a purpose.
One of the things I love most about shelter building is that it combines problem-solving, creativity, and practical outdoor skills. With a little knowledge and the right materials, you can create a surprisingly comfortable camp in the wilderness.
