Remember six months ago, April 22, 2021? It was Earth Day and many brands created Earth Day drops, pledged to plant some trees for every tee or hoodie you bought and perhaps even cleaned up a beach or did some local farming. They had great social campaigns and took lots of pictures of their efforts. There was lots of fanfare, but little sustained action beyond that single day. Those same brands remain largely silent today, October 22, 2021 - Half Earth Day; we’re not surprised.
For Earth Day 2021, we partnered with FUTUREVVORLD to create the limited edition “Because nobody else would” tee as a call to action to the fashion and streetwear communities to reevaluate their environmental impact by considering more environmentally responsible options for making their merch and to stop using poor quality, inexpensive, and environmentally irresponsible goods.
Today, we are reviving that call to action with our release of our Half Earth Day “If you’re not changing something” tee as a reminder that our commitment and solidarity with the planet must not only be on one day in April.
We created Version Tomorrow as an enablement platform for brands and creators of all kinds to make more environmentally responsible apparel utilizing our lower impact supply chain and materials innovation. To date, we’ve displaced tens of thousands of environmentally damaging goods with our cleaner and better alternative. Who’s joining us?
