Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! As we celebrated our national holiday of giving thanks, we took a moment to reflect on the past summer on our Chunky Dunky boat. There is so much to be thankful for-far too many things to list. Here are a few - the beautiful sunny days and warm weather, the people on the sandbar, the state park, third beach, Four Season's, Camp Sunshine, the old customers and new, the young and old, the ones who chase us down the beach or give us the "big wave", the grandmother who put us as a screen saver, the grandfather who put us on speed dial, the dads who hold the boat on a windy day, the moms who make a decision for the little ones who can't (lol), the family that moved their boat on the beach to make room for us, the Songo lock and bridge attendants for open and closing for us- (39 times this year!), the people who share pictures and video on social media, the "regulars" who never get sick of ice cream, the smiles and the funny things kids say, the kids (our favorite customers), the ones who started as customers and now seem more like friends, and last but certainly not least our family and friends who come on the boat for a visit and end up working. I could go on and on. Thank you for a great summer. We truly are blessed to have a seasonal job that we love. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, and God willing, we will see you next year.
