It’s an espresso coffee morning!

When I make my java scrub bars, I DO NOT put used grounds in! I give the bars the full benefits of I brewed coffee.

Coffee oils are very expensive, so my soaps can be more economical to the customer by simply using full strength coffee grounds.

Essential oil diffusers don’t have to be name brand, electronic, or expensive. Think about every wooden, leather or cotton object as a potential diffuser. I use cotton balls or makeup pads, clothes pins, wooden ornaments, seasonal decor, decorative books, uncooked rice, leather jewelry, wooden chopsticks, craft popsicle sticks, pine cones, and even wooden Williams Sonoma table decor!

Thinking outside the box is so fun!

...So you are in the water closet... and it smells nothing like water... What smell do you prefer to spray for cleaning the air? And yes, essential oils clean instead of only covering the smell! I’m considering Orange cinnamon, Lavender fir, Rosemary mint, and cedar/pine/spruce/ fir.

Thoughts? suggestions?

Would you buy Castile soap like this? When I got a special request for huge hunks of soap, every O. C. D. bone in my body fought it. Once I filled the order though, I thought “Why don’t I offer chunks this big? “

So I love 100% cotton dishcloths. I got on a kick of making these cuties from YouTube tutorial!

Some are knit and some are crocheted. If you have ever used these as dishcloths, you probably already know how far superior they are above store bought.

Let me know if you are a local if I should have these available in my store as well. I may consider making them to order because that cotton yarn is not cheap.

The soap shop is going to be closed for all of August. We will have some new soaps and and hopefully a refreshing new motivation after the break.🌺

We are needing more time to adjust to the school year this year, family time, and reorganizing. All of these combined mean we just desperately need a breather.

Have you ever been in love with something that you made? Artwork can sometimes become your baby that you create from ideas inside you.

Hanging laundry out in the sun can be part of a natural cleaning process. ⁣

The same UV radiation that we try to avoid on our skin can actually help bleach whites and kill bacteria.⁣
⁣
If you are only using detergent or soap in your wash, you aren't killing bacteria on the laundry without a high heat dryer cycle! ⁣You are just washing some of it away. 😯
⁣
You may want to throw some peroxide into those smelly washes!⁣😉I usually use 1/2 cup for every load.🔄

Okay, so why have we ditched dryer sheets? ⁣

Well, I honestly can't say that I have done intense research on dryer sheets. I also can't tell you how many harmful chemicals cling to your clothes. I would not even know if the fragrances in them are even bad for us, because I have never even bothered. ⁣

With family members with asthma, eczema, and fragrance skin allergies we have just quit them years ago. ⁣
⁣
Notwithstanding, I am still addicted to nice smelling laundry. I buy these 100% wool dryer balls and add a few drops of cinnamon essential oil or ⁣
lemon , ⁣
clove, ⁣
peppermint, ⁣
pine,⁣
Or a fun mix! ⁣
⁣
Now we have antibacterial & bug detturing oils permeating the air and my house smells like holiday cooking as we dry laundry. ⁣

If you are local you can pop by and buy these babies for 2$ each. (Better price than walmart!) ⁣
⁣
If you aren't local Wal-Mart has them now and it could be your first step in switching to natural, non-toxic, cleaning products!⁣
⁣
