Our Story
HERE AT FIELDS OF ATHENRY FARM and Side Saddle Bistro, we believe healthy eating as the first and foremost preventative to many illnesses that result from reliance on convenience and processed foods.
We have a large range of premium pasture raised, antibiotic & hormone free Beef, Lamb, Poultry, Pork & Dairy, as well as other fine products. Our farm is inspired by principles of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
We have our own farm shop where you can come in and purchase your favorite products. Since we butcher fresh every week on Wednesday, our shop is open for sales and pre-order pick ups on Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday's from 11am-5:30pm. We are also a proud supplier of Young Living Essential Oils.

FIELDS OF ATHENRY FARM—from the ballad describing the beautiful and majestic farms near Galway Bay, Ireland—is our Northern Virginia family-run business with the goal of health through “whole foods.”
Fields of Athenry Farm didn’t start out with a “mission,” but in 2003 one of our five daughters developed serious health issues, launching our family and the farm on a journey to discover the relationship between the foods we eat and chronic diseases such as allergies, obesity, depression, cancer, autism, and more. After exploring several paths, we began to focus on “whole foods” grown the way God intended, including hormone- and antibiotic-free meats, raw milk and milk cheeses, pesticide-free fruits and vegetables, and nutrient-dense cooking stocks.
In the process, our farm business grew from a source of healthy foods for family and friends to today’s thriving Fields of Athenry Farm Store and Home Delivery business. We are also a knowledge resource, sharing information on how you can feed yourself in a healthy, holistic way.
Learn how you can make Fields of Athenry Farm your source for nutritious meats and cheeses. And come see us at the farm!
