Since we announced our Mounted Patrol and volunteer program, some folks have been wondering what the training for the program entails. Well, as you can imagine there’s a lot for both rider and horse to learn, so the program covers techniques and exercises pertaining to safety, resilience, procedures, and practices. Activities include obstacle courses, sensory training, practicing maneuvers, navigating crowds and traffic, and much more.
