2021 R-Pod 202 Traded in my 2011 171 for this one so I would have more room but unfortunately found I am unable to hook up and unhook (the hitch) by myself. Tow vehicle is a 2020 Pathfinder which required a weight distribution hitch. Any suggestions?

Update ā¤ļø I cleaned everything out of it unscrewed all the things attached and in the way. Swept cleaned .. took all the cabinet doors off dropped old light fixtures . Sanded all surfaces . Cleaned with tsp you get it at Lowe’s .. something in that helps paint to adhere better. Soaked all my hardware in that and the spray painted all my old hardware to save $. Painted the cabinets a creamy grey color bought the $50 a gallon paint from menards I call it pudding paint. Lol did 2 coats on everything. Painted ceiling and walls bright white again using the most expensive paint you can get. Painted the fridge with just regular black interior paint. Got new light fixtures from camping world. Found out the hard way after buying cute rustic farmhouse lights that you can’t use them in a camper . Has to be 12volt camper ones boooo! And then I bought vinyl flooring that looks like wood because of its flexibility .. ripped out all the nasty carpet ewww. Pulled out all the staples cleaned and prepped the floors . Spread a flooring primer on and let it dry a day or two then put down flooring and used the loctite stuff that’s in a caulking type container. Then we just used regular 1x 3 I think wood trim and painted it all black. There were a few pieces I recovered in black material. I also used the contact shelving paper to redo all the countertops. Had the table cushions recovered. Ordered new floor vents had a few broke drawers and got the hardware to fix them. We spray painted everything black like the hooks k***s even the paper towel holder. Got new shower curtains and black hooks .. Now the slide was tricky to do . When we took carpet up we had some water damage in one corner so we had to fix that. And then my husband picked up the long plastic piece at menards and painted it black and used some rubber stripping to finish where the slide meets the floor. We had ordered the new couch last year it’s a hide a bed. Got all my curtains and bedding from Walmart. The tie backs and curtain rods came from menards. And then of course made a hobby lobby trip to finish it off with some pretties. Took about 3 weeks of working on it in between working our jobs. And about $2500 but so worth it! And for some reason Facebook won’t let me respond to anymore questions so private message me if you have any. Have a blessed day!!

I'm 52.
And the strangest thing happened when I started getting rid of stuff...
I realized most of it wasn't mine.
Not literally.
The furniture was mine.
The house was mine.
But the expectations?
Those belonged to everyone else.
The bigger home.
The extra room.
The things I kept because they looked like success from the outside.
One by one, I let them go.
And with every box that left, I felt a little more like myself.
Now I live with less space.
Less clutter.
Less pressure to be who I used to be.
Funny thing is... I've never felt like I had more room to breathe.
Some people look at this life and see sacrifice.
I look at it and see freedom.
What about you?
Do you think most people own too much stuff...
Or does the stuff end up owning us?

After 13 weeks of living in my car, saving every penny from each payday, charging my gadgets at work, and surviving on meal deals… I finally did it.
I’ve officially been able to afford a place to call home, and honestly, it has everything I could possibly need.
Fully insulated
Blinds for privacy
Diesel heater
Cooker
Fridge that runs on 12v, 240v, or gas
Sink with running water
Leisure battery with solar and engine charging
EHU connection
Captain’s chairs
Dimmable spotlights
More storage space than I know what to do with
A few months ago, I was sleeping in my car and wondering how long it would take to get back on my feet. Now I’m standing in a space that’s completely mine, and that feeling is hard to put into words.
This journey definitely wasn’t easy, but every sacrifice feels worth it today.
For anyone working toward a goal right now: keep going. Small steps really do add up.
What’s the biggest goal you’ve achieved after months of hard work and saving?
And if this were your new home, what would be the very first thing you’d add or change?
I’d love to hear your stories.

This is my 11th Year with my sweet little 25 ft 96’ Sportsman. I live in it 6 months out of the year during spring, summer and fall months to be close to the ocean .
It’s truly been a blessing and the changes over the years may be mild but it’s my absolute HAPPY PLACE . In my heart I always wanted to keep everything original vintage inside but this group has given me such inspiration to finally start upgrading the inside of the trailer. Cannot wait to get started and share to see what you all think. Wish me luck on a budget!

We are full-time RVers so I wanted something with a small footprint. This was better than I could have hoped for. Heats up quickly. Easy to clean as it fits in the sink. Cooking time was quick on the meal pictured. I turned the chicken about every 5 minutes. (at 350°) I think I was done in 3 turns?? Came out so well cooked, thoroughly seasoned all the way thru and moist. Delicious! I've also done steaks. Perfect! I'm not concerned with longevity. At this bargain price, I can repurchase every year, if necessary. But I'd be surprised if that's going to be necessary !!!!

After over a year of being a member of this great group, I finally did it and bought an RV. The Thor Vegas 24.1 will be ready for pick up this Saturday. What do I need as my first must have items for the RV? Any advice, especially when it comes to towing a car behind it

So when you pull into a 70.00 a night koa is this what you expect? Does it bother you. Well I can tell you here it set the tone for the entire place.
I am saddened to see the amount of people forced to live in campgrounds.
I am not a snob- my hand is extended to anyone in need. But camping at a place that’s 30.00 maybe I get it. But a KOA at 70. No way this is the entrance??

I stopped trying to explain my life to people a while ago… I’m 51. I travel alone. And no… it’s not sad like some people think. Somewhere between long drives, quiet mornings in my RV, and figuring things out on my own… I just got comfortable with myself. Menopause showed up, my body changed… and honestly? So did my priorities. I’m not chasing attention. I’m not trying to impress anyone. I’ve got bills with my name on them. A job that depends on me. A small business I’m still building. And somehow… I still make time to move my body, have dinner with friends, and sit in peace long enough to feel grounded again. That matters more to me now. Dating? Feels a little like pushing a cart with a bad wheel lately and I’m just not forcing it anymore. What I do have… is a kind of calm I didn’t have before. I feel safe in my life. In my choices. In my own company. And that’s enough for me right now Tell me honestly… have you reached a point where you just stopped caring what people think?
