Back on sleeve island—but this time, I brought company! 🧶🌊 Working both sleeves two-at-a-time so I don't get stuck with one lonely limb at the end 🫠✨

Loving how these wild, tropical colors are pooling—it's giving enchanted jungle meets neon dreams 💚💙💜

Honestly, this is peak knitting satisfaction: synchronized stitches, no second sleeve syndrome, and the finish line creeping closer with every round 💪🏽🧵

Body? Mid bind off. ✔️
New sewn bind off technique? Tried it. Loved it. Looks suspiciously like my fave cable cast on and I’m not mad about it. 💁‍♀️🪡✨🌟Now it’s sleeve time, baby! 💪💙

The minis has been giving such a moody vibrant vibe from the very first stitch, and the chaos continues in the best possible way.

Can we talk about how satisfying a stretchy bind off is?! 🧶💥

This sewn bind off I kinda made up. I saw an Elizabeth Zimmerman bind off that was worked left to right. I wanted it to go right to left as I'm working in the round. So simply enter the sewing needle into the first two stitches as if to knit and pull all the way through, then drop the first stitch. I also included picture of cast on and bind of edges side by side so you can see how much they look alike!

What’s your go-to bind off when you want that chef’s kiss finish?

Switched things up when I ran out of Defying Gravity (RIP, you served beautifully 💚🖤). Now knitting with Someday I Will Marry You — a dreamy skein from last year’s book club by Dragon Hoard Yarn 💍📚✨

Also made it to the last of the mini skeins from the Wicked Halloween Advent and I can finally see the end of the body creeping up! 🧶💀🎃 The color shifts are wild and witchy in the best way — moody magic with every stitch. 💜💚🧡

✨ Still deep in this sweater and completely enchanted by how the colors by Dragon Hoard Yarn melt into each other 💜💙💚 I'm using minis from last year’s 🎃 Wicked Halloween Advent (plus the moody main skein in rich jewel tones), and every transition is such a happy surprise to watch with each row.

There’s no strict plan—just letting one skein flow into the next, embracing the chaos. It’s like watching a desert sky shift before a storm: wild, powerful, and totally mesmerizing. 🌌⚡🌵

The texture is glowing in the bright light of my new home ☀️🏠 and those Mojave mountains out the window make it feel like this sweater belongs right here. 🏜️🧶

Eleven minis in and I’m not slowing down. The colorplay, the rhythm, the mood—this one’s got a little witchy energy, and I’m living for it. 🧙‍♀️✨

Still chipping away at the body of this sweater and LOVING the chaos of color happening here. 🧶💥 The background is from the main skein in Dragon Hoard Yarn’s Halloween Advent (“Wicked”) — all moody blues, greens, and purples — and I’ve already powered through 8 mini skeins (a few are from the Halloween Advent a few years back)! It’s like Halloween exploded in the best way possible. 🎃🦇💚💜🧡

Knitting with this much color while soaking up the gorgeous light in my new house? Yes please. Bonus: I get to sneak glances at the Mojave Desert mountains while I knit.🏜️✨

🧶 Tropicos Progress Update + True Crime Vibes 🔪

I’ve officially joined the front and back on my Tropicos knit (pattern by Beatriz Rubio 💫) and I’m cruising through the stockinette section—about 7 inches to go!

Meanwhile, I’m mid-move, the TVs are packed, and I’m watching Fred & Rose West on Netflix projected right onto the wall like some kind of cozy crime-crafting bunker. 😅 Nothing like smooth stitches and serial killers to keep things interesting.

🧶 New cast-on alert!
Starting Tropicos by Beatriz Rubio, but with a twist ✨

I'm using yarn unraveled from a store-bought sweater (hello, sustainable stash!) and making it my own with a few mods:
✨ Bust shaping for a better fit
✨ A longer body for that cozy, flattering length
✨ Shortened ribbing because balance is everything

Loving how this soft grey yarn is knitting up—bonus points for that spark of color from my fave stitch marker ❤️

She’s nearly done!

My Lapis Pullover is blocked and bursting with color—like a sunset decided to dance across a field of lavender. The yarn shifts from splashes of pinks, purples, and flickers of electric blue soft to sand tones with tiny yellow flecks—total magic.

I was supposed to add ribbing around the armholes next, but… maybe I won’t? Alreadylready gorgeous without it. And I think it keeps it simpler looking.

And that stitch pattern at the bottom? Not from the original. I went rogue and swapped the chevrons for a mystery lace I reverse-engineered from a Pinterest dress photo. (Enhance… zoom… stitch detective mode!)
Totally worth it.

Halfway there on the armholes for my lapis pullover! 💪 I decided to work the front and back panels at the same time instead of separately. It's been interesting seeing how the random stripes are playing out across both pieces. Loving the random pops of the lighter color! What's your current WIP?

Riding the purple waves of this delicate lace pattern.

Decided to restart and choose a larger needle to loosen up the fabric! The cotton was feeling a bit heavy on size 4. Also decided to do the bottom hem in the purple contrast yarn instead of the lighter color like the first one I was doing. I traded out the Chevron stitch pattern for something I found on a shirt on pinterest. Had to zoom in and try and figure it out so it definitely doesn't look like the original but I do love how it comes out anyway. What do you think?
