We’re about to do a BookCon photo dump like it’s 2006 📸

What can I even say about BookCon?

I have absolutely no regrets. The number of amazing people who came to my booth and kept me busy all day on Day 1, I didn’t even get a chance to use the bathroom 😭 by Day 2 my husband was confident in doing check out, was checking out customer left & right & I even got to use the bathroom twice 🙃

& my vending machine? Completely sold out before the end of Day 1. Meanwhile, just days before, I was at home stressing over hundreds of stickers, convinced I printed way too many.

But truly, it was the people. Everyone was so sweet, so kind, so patient. I’m still riding a BookCon high, & honestly? I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat 💛

PS. Yes we rode in the back of the uhaul to the airport right after packing our booth in one hour! We killed it!

Meet the Team ✨

Jennifer is the owner of Chapters TBR . the brains, the creativity, but also the marketing team, customer service rep, packing department, shipping manager, and occasional crisis manager.

Omar is the Emotional Support Husband, a proud $0/hr employee responsible for heavy lifting and bringing her slightly unhinged ideas to life.

Valerie is the owner of Lady Lair Booktique and will happily talk all things books with you, if you catch her before she runs off to visit authors.

Cris is her Emotional Support Husband and has been assigned the very important job of helping Omar stay sane during BookCon.

Jamie is Jennifer’s oldest friend and newest member of the bookish community recently introduced to the world of s**t books and fully thriving. She’s excited to meet authors and help out.

Nilcer is a ex-coworker turned good friend, a huge romantasy lover, and Jennifer’s reading buddy at times, honestly one of the reasons she got back into reading in the first place.

Dana & Tati are Jennifer’s childhood friends and certified Emotional Support Duo here for the jokes, the laughter, the moral support, and stepping in wherever help (or chaos) is needed.

The past few days have been nonstop packing, prepping, and organizing. Absolute chaos behind the scenes.

Tonight I hit the road to drop off inventory and officially kick off the countdown for this HUGE event 📦🚗
