Thank you to all of our customers over the last 5 years… from opeing the Shop during the pandemic to inventory being scarce nationwide, to the ebike boom, it’s been a wild ride!!!

…but, the JT Bike Shop has closed its doors and is out of business.

Tomorrow, Friday Dec 19 from 12pm-4pm we will be selling some of the remaining inventory, tools, equipment, and furniture.

Stop by for deals or just to say hello.

Sure, the East coast has Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day to let them know when they can expect spring. Here in Palm Desert, we have Mojave Maxine, the desert tortoise, to signify that warmer weather is on the way.

Students in grades K-12 throughout Southern California have the opportunity to predict when Maxine will rouse and make her first appearance of 2023, letting us know that spring has arrived!

The annual Mojave Maxine Emergence Contest is currently open and will continue until she emerges from her burrow. More information:

An update from Joshua Tree National Park regarding the upcoming shut down, please recreate responsibly and know before you visit. JT Bike Shop will remain open with our same hours (Thursday through Monday, 10am to 6pm).

Wishing everyone a safe and healthy holiday season!

In support of the State of California's Stay at Home Order for the Southern California Region, Joshua Tree National Park will temporarily modify park operations.

In the next few days, all campgrounds will be closed until further notice. All programs are suspended, including the Keys Ranch Tour. Visitor Centers will have a reduced capacity. Special Use Permits and commercial activities have temporary limits.

Camping reservations and Keys Ranch Tour tickets will be refunded the full amount through recreation.gov.

Updates and current park conditions will be posted on our website, https://www.nps.gov/jotr/planyourvisit/conditions.gov.

The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners is our number one priority. The park urges the public to follow state, county, and CDC guidance to prevent the spread of infectious disease.
