Why does pistol size matter?

Fellow Bureau of Propaganda Field Agent @vanleethea providing a second video packed with sound advice for newbies! If you missed part one go back and check that video out! "I’m sure a lot of you know by now that I don’t think there is any one best gun out there and what works for me may not work for you. Handguns are not a one size fits all sort of deal. Always if you can, try before you buy. Here are some things to consider: 1. Decide what the handgun is going to be used for. If you’re looking for an every day concealed carry option you’re probably not going to want to drag around a big gun all day everyday, but if you’re only interested in competitive shooting then you will probably want a larger, heavier option. If you’re wanting a gun for home defense, honestly, I would probably skip the handguns all together and go for an AR. 2. It may seem counterintuitive if you’re new to guns and wanting to get into it, but the larger the gun the easier they tend to be to shoot. Now I’m not talking about caliber, I’m talking about the actual physical size of the gun. It’s easier to get a good grip on something with a larger frame, longer barrels and a heavier weight tend to make them feel less snappy and managing the recoil is easier. 3. If you’re looking for an every day carry gun I’m a huge fan of carrying the biggest gun that you can comfortably conceal. For me personally, on some days that may mean only carrying a Glock43 and then on other days that could mean carrying a Glock 17. My overall mood and outfit choice for the day play a big role in which gun I choose to carry. If you don’t have the means to have a whole collection at your disposal then maybe find something that’s more in the middle. Like a Sig 365xl, FN 509c, or a Glock19. What guns are In your carry rotation?"

What's the best?

Fellow Bureau of Propaganda Field Agent @vanleethea providing some sound advice for the newbies! "I really don’t like it when people ask me “what’s the best handgun” or “what’s the best gun for concealed carry”. I think it all comes down to personal preference, there are a lot of really good options out on the market. I’m going to do a little mini series on things that I personally look for. So before you get your panties in a bunch because you think I missed/skipped over something, remember that this is only part one. I really like the @fn_america 509’s because they fit the bill for things that I look for in handguns. They feel very ergonomic to me and I have a very easy time manipulating them. The Tactical and MRD versions are especially nice because they come optic ready for a variety of different red dots. I kind of view it as a waste if guns don’t come optic ready these days or they are only cut for one specific dot manufacturer. ⚪️ Some manufacturers are better than others, stick to a manufacturer that has a longer standing history of producing quality products. I’m not a big fan of guns that require a lot of maintenance or are really picky when it comes to types of ammunition. ⚪️ Before I even test fire a gun I need to see how it fits in my hand. Can I get a good grip on it, does it feel ergonomic? ⚪️ Can I easily manipulate it? Press the trigger, magazine release, lock my slide to the rear?"
