folks, i’ll be hosting my first listening party for an LP dropping this thursday. it’s for ‘s new LP ‘inferno.’ now when these guys came out there were no marketable terms for electronic music that was more contemplative and maybe meant for headphone indulgences. they called it ‘IDM’ which stands for intelligent dance music and all that really means is that you won’t really be dancing to it at all.
nonetheless, i will fire up the disco ball and turn down the lights and everyone can put their phones away and we can all be bathed in the analog experience together. i’ve got a new friend helping out with the bottom end too. see slide 2!
details: listening starts at 7:30p on thurs 5/28.
also at this time you can buy your copy of either version and take it home with you AFTER the session is thru. there will be giveaways that are randomized so don’t feel pressure to get here first.
i will be spinning a vinyl copy but if they sell out (i have 18 total coming - 12 reg + 6 special ed) i will sell that copy as well.
