Here is a great example of a common failure after storing a unit for the winter. This is the contents of the fuel tank . See the desperation line ? The top is gasoline, the bottom layer is water . Water being heavier then fuel settles to the bottom of the fuel tank and that’s where the fuel exits the tank at , giving your engine a big gulp of pure water. Water can enter the tank a lot of different ways , commonly from condensation in both your mowers fuel tank and fuel storage tank ( that you fill it with ) . The best way to prevent this is keeping your tank full and using a fuel treatment when it’s going to be stored for more then 30 days .
