My mind is officially blown! I have been handling antique paper for many years, now. I have framed maps and other types of prints from the 14 & 1500's...pretty used to old stuff, right? I just framed this fossil embedded in slate from China. I knew it was old. It's a fossil! it is from the Triassic Period...had to google that. This is between 199 to 251 MILLION years old! Microphone drop!

Just finished framing a group of these 1905 images. The work uses plant life for design elements...some of my favorites, honeysuckle and bellflowers.
Love these Nests and eggs. While framing the eggs, though, I found myself craving Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream.

Just finished framing these Gold-leafed crosses. They are old patterns for type-set. Some of the pages are dated and as old as 1913. Had a lot of fun doing the gold leaf on them.

Hey ya'll it is Art Crawl tonight. Our featured artist tonight is Janet King. She lives right here in Franklin. She does great Franklin scenes in Pen & Ink, Notecards, lovely watercolors, and acrylics. She will also do drawings of your home,and she also teaches drawing and painting. It should be a great night...inspite of the weather.
