We 💚 these! @lyn_z_lack
💙💗💗 It simultaneously brought me joy and tremendous sadness to make this tiny face mask for my friend’s baby girl. In so many ways I can’t believe the reality of this pandemic, but I’m trying to remember that all of these signs of abnormality are signals that things will get better. Wearing face masks in public is hella weird. Seeing cashiers behind Saran Wrap and duct tape curtains is also weird. Seeing firemen in white hazmat suits piling out of their fire truck instead of the usual black and yellow is pretty weird. All of these things make me feel like I’m in a sci-fi Stephen King movie, BUT, they’re all also signs that the virus will have a harder time spreading and getting more people sick. Maybe it’s like looking at a bunch of caterpillars and knowing that now they look weird and strange 🐛🐛🐛🐛, but in a few weeks they’ll have grown into 🦋🦋🦋🦋. We’re in the larval stage of overcoming this pandemic. 🐛 🌈 Sending warm thoughts to all of the parents out there. 💕 . . .
