We created Roots Organics Formula 707 for a special kind of gardener: the one who wants a ready-to-use soil with more room to steer their own feeding program.

Compared to our other potting mixes, Formula 707 is designed with greater water-holding capacity, fewer nutrients, less perlite, and less pumice, making it a strong choice for large-container gardening and growers who want more control over what goes in after transplant 🌿

Its peat, coco, perlite, and pumice base gives your plants a dependable foundation, while the lighter nutrient charge lets you start feeding a little sooner—typically around 10–14 days after transplant for vigorous fruiting and flowering plants 🌸

Amendment-rich for ultimate growth potential 🌱

Our Lush soil is built for growers who want a rich, heavily amended mix that’s ready to support serious plant growth right out of the bag. This peat-based blend combines peat, coco fiber, pumice, perlite, and earthworm castings to create a strong balance of moisture retention, aeration, drainage, and natural fertility.

The peat and coco fiber help maintain consistent moisture in the root zone, while pumice and perlite promote airflow and drainage, giving roots the oxygen they need to thrive. Our Original Potting Soil is the classic coco-based blend, made with peat, pumice, and in-house perlite. It’s designed to drain quickly and dry evenly, making it a great fit for fast-growing, heavy-feeding plants and growers who like a more active feeding routine.

Green Fields brings a richer, peat-based foundation with pumice and in-house perlite. With the highest organic material content of the three, it’s especially well-suited for outdoor growing, vegetable gardens, and vigorous fruiting or flowering plants.

Formula 707 offers more flexibility and control, with less perlite and more peat than Original for slightly longer water retention.
