Mark your calendars 📅 for June 26th, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM—we’ll be hosting a book edge painting night! 🎨

Tickets are $25 and include all the supplies you’ll need, including a free arc. If you’d rather bring a book from home to paint, feel free to bring it along! 📖

It’s going to be a great evening filled with books, creativity, and meeting new friends! 🤝

Are you ready for a night 🌙 that went wrong? You think 🤔 you're just going to rescue 🛡️ your sister from her abusive husband, but suddenly the bodies start piling up. Everything about this book 📚 is killer—plot, characters, writing, and cover! Marion is a great read for those who love ❤️ when women aren't afraid to get their hands a bit bloody for a cause they love. The sisterly love is so well done, and I love the women supporting women in this. Each character seems so relatable and flawed in the best way. It's gross, it's tense, but it's still slightly wholesome! I was so captured by the book that I was mad 😡 when I had to put it down to be a person!

📚 🌞As part of this year's , the library has teamed up with Cavalier House Books to give teens a chance to win a gift card for reading! We will raffle off a gift card every Friday for all of Summer Reading, STARTING TODAY!

Here's how it works:

✅ Sign up for the Summer Reading Program.

✅ Log at least 60 minutes of reading.

✅ Every 60 minutes = 1 entry (up to 3 entries per week)

✅ One winner from among the entries will be chosen every week for all of Summer Reading. Parents will be contacted to pick up their teen’s gift card.

✅ This is open to ages 13–18.

Here at CHB, we're totally obsessed 🤩 with the Fool's Adventure series by Lauren and Abbie. It’s an awesome mix of Romance 💖, Dystopian 🌆, and Wild West vibes 🤠 that totally keeps you hooked. Since it's a romance book, we HAD to read it in our Romance Book Club, and guess what? BOTH authors attended our meeting to join in on the discussion!

We had such a blast—lots of laughs 😂, cookie cake 🍪, adorable swag made by Abbie, and a special RBC appearance by Little Bit (she is also a big fan and wants Sarah to buy the remaining books in the series immediately 📚).

Are you pumped for First Friday? 🎉 Obviously - yes! We are so excited to share that this month, we will be making BOOK 📚 PAGE COASTERS! We have stickers, stamps, and pens 🖊️ to make beautiful coasters from recycled reads.

This First Friday craft will be a little different since we’ll be using so much Mod Podge. We’ll be making our coasters that evening from 6:00 to 7:30, and you can leave them at the store to dry. Then you can shop, look around at all the First Friday fun, and before we close at 9:00, come and pick them up!

Make sure to get your tickets 🎟️ now! Tickets are $10 and include all supplies needed to make your coasters. 🛍️

We are celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May! AAPI Heritage Month was established by Congress in 1992. According to the Library of Congress📚, its recognition encompasses “all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.”
