I don’t know who needs to hear this. I know I haven’t always been the best at receiving. But this holiday lets all try to more gracious in receiving gifts. Gifts are more for the giver, they give because they want you to know they’ve thought of you. (Givers - remember it’s a gift not an obligation).
You don’t have to deserve a gift for someone to want to give you one. Rejecting or downplaying your deservedness of a gift is an is an insult to the person who gave it. No one deserves a gift - that’s compensation. Gifts aren’t owed they are an expression of the the giver. Remember this holiday to be GRACIOUS in ACCEPTING - RECEIVING.
You’re welcome and thank you.
