Still waiting for my but in the meantime I've been having some fun finding cool thermoses. Icy Hot was essentially a predecessor to Thermos. These are all made by the King-Seeley company. The oldest is the red Icy Hot which is from around 1963. The middle one is from 1971 and the one on the left is bicentennial with a 1975 design copyright. I also have a small corrugated King-Seeley and an Aladdin Stanley on the way.

I know I've been MIA, but this is proof they don't make them like they used to. #1983 #305

I finally made the trip out to see after talking about it for awhile. I was a little disappointed to see they closed early, but at least now I know where it is.

A rare before and after post. Times truly are changing. This AMF Roadmaster Silver Streak has been kicking around for the last 2 or 3 years and the badge was unfortunately absent. Removing and replacing button rivets is a pain, but the results speak for themselves.

I don't normally pay attention to crank bearings because American bottom bracket hardware is basically all the same, but after cleaning this one, the Torrington stamp caught my eye. I wonder what I pulled this out of before it made its way to the bucket.

Friends help friends out. approached me with some branding and content ideas and we hashed out some things to work from. Earlier this week he stopped in for a surprise visit with a vinyl banner, framed newsletter and flyers for an upcoming show I'll be attending. I'm still working on slogans. I'm getting closer, but I'm also relentlessly stubborn which is another reason I'm happy Myles has been working with me on this project.

With the Spring weather, today was a day to clean the shop and strategize for the upcoming season. I got this repainted 1980 Collegiate together, I'm in the process of cleaning the muck off of a 1978 Collegiate 3, and I'm putting the finishing touches on the '53 Meteor. There are roughly a dozen bikes in the pipeline and several more that will be ready soon. The car is loaded down with fenders, wheels and frames that will be going to the Moose Lodge show next month. #24 #26

These little Huffy built muscle bikes normally wouldn't be worth a second glance, especially a K-Mart All Pro, but this one had such nice paint and parts on it, that it was worth picking up.

I'll have to go to the auto parts store for the black 3M tape I need to attach this badge, but it arrived yesterday and I'm excited. It's in good shape.
