These low carb noodles are so easy to make and they almost taste like real spaghetti noodles! They can be found at Whole Foods and some other grocery stores. This particular brand is from Costco. Just make whatever meat you choose (I made ground Turkey with onion and tomato sauce) and add in the noodles. You just have to heat them up, no real cooking time needed! Has anyone tried these? What are your thoughts?

Place chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add seasonings. Bake in the oven at 475, convection bake is best for crispier chicken. Bake for 30 minutes total, flipping chicken halfway through and seasoning the other side. This keto meal is high in healthy fats and protein, with okra—a low carb veggie with gut healing properties 🙌

Oven cooked bacon: less mess and super easy! Preheat oven to 400 and cook for 10-15 minutes depending on how crispy you like your bacon. You don’t even have to flip halfway, just set the timer and you’re done! I use Nature’s Rancher brand, no sugar added from Whole Foods.

It is especially good for hot coffee or tea beverages because it foams well when heated. It is also a thicker consistency than almond or coconut milk and has better flavor. Kids even like drinking it plain. Make sure to get the unsweetened or unsweetened vanilla variety as the others contain brown rice syrup. Unsweetened variety contain 0g of carbs 😄

Fall is here, which means all things pumpkin! Here’s an easy recipe for coconut flour pumpkin muffins:
Makes 9 muffins:

-1/2 cup coconut flour
-4 eggs (or flax eggs)
-1/4 cup melted coconut oil
-6 TBS pumpkin purée (can also use butternut squash purée)
-2 TBS maple syrup
-1 tsp pumpkin spice or cinnamon
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-1 tsp apple cider vinegar
-1/2 tsp baking soda

1. Preheat oven to 350 and line muffin tin (will make about 9 muffins)
2. Stir coconut flour and eggs together. Add coconut oil, pumpkin purée and maple syrup. Then mix in spices, apple cider vinegar and baking soda
3. Add additional ingredients if desired, like chocolate or carob chips (I used @missyjssnacksandtreats carob chips from Whole Foods)
4. Bake for about 25 minutes (when using flax eggs they will bake longer, about 30 minutes). You’ll know they’re done when the top is golden brown)

Avocado tahini “hummus”: legume free, low carb dip for veggies:

Ingredients:

Vegan carob brownies:
For those of you that can’t eat chocolate this is an easy “brownie” recipe adapted from Otto’s naturals paleo brownies recipe (see second pic). Instead of chocolate chips and cocoa powder we used carob chips and carob powder (carob chips can be found at Whole Foods and the carob powder is from Amazon).

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Melt carob chips and butter or coconut oil over low heat.
3. In a large mixing bowl combine dry ingredients (coconut sugar, cassava flour, salt, carob powder.)
4. In a smaller bowl combine eggs (or “neat egg” for vegan recipe, from Amazon) and vanilla.
5. Add the melted carob with butter and the egg vanilla mixture to the dry mix and combine.
6. Pour mixture into a square baking pan lined with parchment paper
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Add extra carob chips on top if desired 🤗

Costco shopping prepared meat section edition: Costco has lots of great organic sausage and prepared meat options. Most conventional sausages contain nitrates and other harmful additives, and the meat is usually low quality. These options are all grass fed/organic and antibiotic free.

-grass fed hot dogs
-sliced sirloin
-organic grass fed kiolbassa
-sugar fre pork sausages
-paleo antibiotic free chicken sausages

All found in the center of the prepared meat section. These all make for super easy lunches or dinners, and can be a staple for cookouts!

Tahini artichoke “hummus” (legume free!)
This artichoke dip was so easy to make, only 2 ingredients! I used the artichoke hearts from costco and added 1/2 cup of tahini. Combine in food processor or Vitamix, add a tsp of lemon juice and salt to taste. You could also add other things like spinach and garlic to make a dairy free spinach artichoke dip.

This dip was one of the many things at our Fourth of July spread:
-grass fed burgers (frozen permafrost pattys from Costco, completed with Primal Kitchen condiments)
-guacamole
-fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries and cherries)
-siete chips
-green salad with avocado, pumpkin seeds, blueberries, raspberries and Tessamae dressing
-all beef organic hot dogs from Costco
-organic sausage from Costco

Flackers: our favorite crackers ☺️

These low carb crackers are low glycemic and great for snacking! You can dip in hummus, guacamole, or seed/nut butters of choice! Here are our favorite Flackers snack ideas:

-sea salt or rosemary flavor with tahini
-savory flavor in guacamole or hummus (contains night shades)
-currant and cinnamon flavor with sun butter
-any flavor crushed up works as a salad topper

You can purchase on Amazon, or also find at Whole Foods and Earth Fare. Sometimes all flavors aren’t in stock but Amazon sells a variety pack if you want to try these and others!

This grain/bean free chili is an easy dinner recipe. Cook ground lamb with spices of choice. In a separate pan cook the diced veggies and mushrooms until soft. Then add in lamb and tomato sauce and simmer for a few minutes

Palmini pasta is a quick, easy and delicious low carb pasta. It just contains hearts of palm! There are only 2 net carbs per serving (6 in the whole bag!) It heats up easily on the stove, or you can cook in boiling water for softer texture. They make all sorts of varieties, I tried the angel hair here. Available on Amazon! I made with ground bison and pasta sauce 😄

Our Story

Our clinic offers nutritional examinations, whole food based supplements, and vitamin therapy counseling, which has been very effective for sustained weight loss and helping our patients to eliminate many different types of medications and improve overall health. We also offer Chiropractic and Traditional Chinese Medicine services to treat a variety of conditions from back pain and sports injuries to insomnia and weight management. Chiropractic services include chiropractic spinal and extremity adjustments, muscle release techniques, functional rehab exercise, physiotherapies including therapeutic ultrasound and electric muscle stimulation, low level laser (aka "cold laser") treatments, flexion-distraction therapy, McKenzie Method® treatment, custom orthotic shoe inserts, Kinesio Taping®, and more.
