⚠️ If you think skin cancer always looks the same, please read this❗️
Not a business post today, just a personal reminder. ❤️
As we head into summer and spend more time outside, please don't forget your sunscreen and pay attention to changes in your skin.🌴🌞
Back in 2010, I had skin cancer removed from my left shoulder. I recently found out that I had skin cancer on my nose. Last Wednesday I had Moh's surgery to remove the cancer. I never expected this❗️ it looked nothing like the spot on my shoulder. Their appearance was completely different, which is why I never suspected this spot could be skin cancer.
🚨The spot on my nose actually looked like a little blackhead to me. I'm not even sure how long it had been there. I popped it, and afterward it became sore and just wouldn't heal. It continued to hurt, which is what finally led me to have it checked.
I'm so thankful I did.❤️
If there's one thing I've learned, it's that skin cancer doesn't always look the way you expect it to. If you have a spot that won't heal, keeps coming back, changes in appearance, or just doesn't seem right, please don't ignore it❗️
A simple appointment could make all the difference.
Wear your sunscreen. Get your skin checked. Take care of yourself. ☀️❤️
