🏔️Some great fishing is happening now on Lake Cascade. The future perch fishery looks as bright as the mid-day sunshine. We’ve got some great year classes coming up, and a great population of fantastic perch now.

🌮The perch fishing should stay consistent through June.

🌮It’s Prime Time for perch fishing. The guides have been getting after it, and we’re getting lots of great reports that the perch are chomping.

🤳Lures to use:
Drop shots with plastics or worms, 1/4 oz Blade Baits (purple-licious has been working the best), Ned jigs with plastics.

🥩Depth:
The water is very clear at the moment. Fish have been 15-20 feet. They will spook away from your boat if you’re noisy.

🚨Fishing Report 4/5/26:

🐣Happy Easter! The fishing has been FANTASTIC! Some of the best fishing of the year is happening right now on Lake Cascade. The fish are schooled up, spawning and doing their thing. It’s a great time to catch great numbers and size of these tasty fish. Yellow perch can be elusive at times, but not right now. It seems everywhere we went today, we caught good fish. We fished the south end of the lake, south of Sugarloaf island.

🌎Water depth is important, focusing on 6-15 feet of water. The fish schools move around, and you should too. Water temps were 45-47 degrees.

🗽Lures that worked best were 1/8th oz jigs and plastics, and 14/ oz blade baits.

🛶There still are no docks in at Van Wyk, Blue Heron or Sugarloaf. Butternut and Boulder Creek have docks.
