GOOD NEWS FAMILY TRAIN CENTER FRIENDS! Beginning today, Tuesday 5th, we will reopen for business from 10-5. Our days and hours of operation will remain the same. Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5. Ed and Ron will be there working hard to get things back to normal. We will be complying with no more than 10 people in the store at a time and paying attention to our 6' social distancing. Masks and gloves are not necessary. This nightmare has been hard on us as well as the rest of the area, since it is mostly made up of small mom and pop businesses. We made it through and hopefully, we will all recouperate and get back to normal. Ed and I would like to say thank you to you all for your patience and understanding. See you soon!

UPDATE ON THIS POST! THE DATE WAS WRONG AND HAS BEEN CHANGED!

Sadly we have to announce that due to the current COVID-19 virus situation, we have had to cancel the Lake of the Ozarks Train Club Train Show which was scheduled for April 25th. However, the good news are already booked for our fall show on October, 24th, 9-3. Remember, we have a brand new spot. We will be at the Community Christian Church, 1064 N. Business Route 5, Camdenton. This venue will give us room to grow bigger and better. Nothing else has changed, just a different address. So, put this date on your calendar and plan to attend.

These are very trying times all over our area, the country and world. Since Family Train Center is not considered an essential business, we have limited hours of operation as well as how we do business until this is over. We will be posting items on this page as well as our website for sale. If you see something you like, please call 573-286-7295 and make an appointment to pick it up and pay for it. If you are looking for something in particular, please call, speak clearly and leave a detailed message as to what you want and include your name, phone number and the date and time you called. We will meet you at the store and bring your package to you outside. You may pay for it with either cash, debit or credit card. This is not our first choice to do business this way. The best part of our business is getting to visit with our customers, but, we figure it's better to err on the side of caution until this virus is gone. Thank you for your patience and understanding in all of this. We do appreciate you all.

Today is January 19, 2020. Today, three years ago Family Train Center opened for business. A little over a year ago we moved to a larger location with more room. Also, there was room for Lake of the Ozarks Train Club to have their layout. Now, again, we have expanded our store to include the suite next to us. We have a larger selection of Woodland Scenics products, and we will be adding the tiny little Z scale trains and accessories eventually. There is more room for the larger scale trains and accessories. Also we have added another layout for people to see when they come in to shop. None of this would have been possible if it weren't for our great loyal customers, who have become our friends. Thank you all for your support and suggestions as to what you wanted to see in our store through the years. A big hearty thank you to the train club for helping Ed with anything he needed help with. May God bless you all! We know He has blessed us.

01/17/2020

So from all of us to all of you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Come see the new store soon. 11/24/2019

I get these notices about updating the Family Train Center all the time. Well guess what, nothing new, WRONG. We tore the store apart yesterday with the help of some friends from the Train Club, a good friend's with his boys who came in, even some of my customers. We got a good chunk done, now we have to put items in their new places, get Christmas displays set up, put up lights and decorate. We're trying hard and working as fast as possible to get it all done. Thanksgiving will be here this week, after that the store should be ready for Christmas. Who knows what other surprises are in store. Only Santa knows for sure!

11/17/2019

New locomotives DCC &DC, HO Buildings, HO cars, are in at the store. Wheels, N-scale cars, train sets are due in along with some new Woodland Scenics, Lionel will be in soon along with other items such as tracks. We are trying to get ready for the holiday season. Please be patient as we get the store decorated and remodeled. This year we have lost a good friend of ours this past week. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and their relatives. NOW, the holiday season is coming up. REMEMBER DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE OR TEXT WHILE DRIVING and remember our MILITARY FAMILIES, as well as our CHILDREN that go to school each day. We would all like to be with our families during the holiday season. Only you, behind the wheel, look as you drive, stay off the phone and there is no reason to be speeding, drive defensively and enjoy the holidays. DON'T BECOME A STATISTIC. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

Hi Ed & Molly, I will be calling up this Saturday, should get there about 9. Did you enjoy the numerious photo's from the recent Australian train show I sent? I will bring some paper fliers & booklet from the show. I have started to get my G scale equipment together for the Christmas train. Brad
Here is something that you may find humorist, "A day in the life of a shunter team". These men made up the trains in the 80's in the middle of Sydney, in an area that is now a very popular tourist location, when Sydney Harbour was an operating port. Sydney harbour see cruise ships now, no freight.
hey Capt Ed Underpants, heard about your admirer in Walmart, lol! per molly!
