I hold patents connected to these technologies and processes, but today my focus is no longer about corporations or manufacturing. My mission now is education. That is why I founded CT Engraving. This is my opportunity to pass on over five decades of real-world knowledge, techniques, tricks, and artistic methods before they disappear. I want to teach people not only how to engrave glass, but how to understand the process creatively and professionally — how to turn simple materials into works of art, and possibly even build a business or side income doing it. This is not just about equipment. It is about technique. It is about imagination. It is about understanding pressure, masking, shading, carving depth, design, and artistic control. Most importantly, it is about keeping the craft alive. This video shows the full process of turning ordinary glass into a lasting work of art. It begins with the customer’s idea, then moves into artwork design, layout, and approval. From there, the glass is cleaned, masked, and carefully prepared with a stencil. The piece is then placed into the sandblasting booth, where the design is permanently engraved into the surface. After blasting, the masking is removed, the glass is cleaned, inspected, and polished. The finished piece is then presented as a custom engraved product, created with care, precision, and pride from start to finish.
