Well folks, there's two of us involved in this journey. My name is Lance Thomas. My good friend/business partner is Jake Hardy.
Let me start off by telling you a little about myself. I'm from Belfield ND, I have lived in the area my entire life. I’ve been an avid hunter and involved in the outdoors for as long as I can remember. In about 2008 I really became interested in long range shooting. At that time I did not have friends in the area that had the same passion for the sport that I did. So from 2008 until now I have been engaged spending countless hours reading, watching videos and visiting with professionals on the phone trying to figure everything out to obtain the optimal performance out of the modern day precision rifle. This was no easy task to say the least. Developing a load to optimize the rifles ability is critical. With that being said, understanding load development and how to approach the best load is often challenging for someone just starting out. Things to consider are bullet/powder selections, seating depths, optimal charge weights, extreme spreads and much more. On top of that, you have to know what the rifle is truly capable of. Does it have a trustworthy scope on it? Can you trust if its going to track a true 1/4 moa? Is your rifle bedded correctly? How does the crown look? Did the gunsmith do his part in chambering it correctly? We haven't even mention long range shooting yet. That's a whole new topic for another day. Anyways, lets transition to Jake and talk a little about his past and how he came about to where he is today. Let me mind you, Jake is the backbone of our building/manufacturing department. He has gained an extensive amount of knowledge on what it actually takes to not only build a rifle but to build it correctly.
Hello, my name is Jake Hardy. I grew up on a farm outside of Golva, ND. I started being intrigued by firearms at a very early age. There was always something about a firearm going off that made life a little more exciting. Anytime I saw a gun when I was younger, I instantly wanted to learn more about it and what made it work. Fast forward a few years to high school, this is when reloading became a new addiction to precision. I had no clue what I was getting into when I ordered my first reloading kit! Well after a few more years, Lance and my paths crossed. He had a few custom rifles and showed me some of the ropes to long range and also reloading. We both recognized how serious we were about shooting, and started to burn lots of gunpowder. About this time is when I would find the differences between an okay shooting rifle and a precision rifle. Over the course of quite a few years, I have been collecting all the information I can in what is important and necessary in building precision rifles. It has been a lot of fun learning what makes a rifle shoot, and why they can be a little stubborn at times. The journey to precision will continue, and Lance and I plan to give folks the right answers to the best of our knowledge!
