Thank you to all that came out to our Bakersfield"Mini" Comic Con yesterday. We had a classic day and raised a BUNCH or Dog (and pet) food for the Salvation Army to distribute to the homeless of Bakersfield (And today brought the 50 can openers for those that might need them).

It was great to see old friends and make new ones. The vibe was fun, everyone seemed to be having a good day.

I would like to thank a few people who came out or went out of their way to help... first my wife Julie and her sister Delia for always helping. My son David and his gf Erin for helping break down.

Then there are those who make things like this possible... Don, Penny & Josh at Silver-wolf for letting us host this there outside, Aaron Perlman, Matt Pelishek and Stefanie Dias whose help getting the word out is Amazing. Then there are all the fans who can out on this beautiful day and brought can dog food and played all day. And last, the young lady with the "Bumble Bee" car (I suck at names( who spent all day helping to collect cans at the last minute with a great smile, you were a Godsend!

Below is a great picture of the fans and all the great donations we collected.

Hey Fans & Friends, we are hoping you are all staying Safe, Happy and Sane through these times of “Stay At Home” orders and catching up on your favorite Anime shows…. Maybe trying out some new ones or rewatching some of your classic old ones. Either way we hope you are all making the best of this situation and making sure you and your loved ones are all healthy.
But now to our news… It is with a heavy heart that we are contacting you now. It seems the May 30/31 Bak-Anime will have to be Canceled. The Kern County Fairgrounds has contacted us and informed us that Bak-Anime will have to be postponed till next year. We have the dates for the 2021 show, and its May 22nd/23rd, 2021. We tried to schedule a few new dates, to find something, but with all the other shows cancelling (Fanime and such) and re scheduling, we couldn’t find anything that was good for you fans.
Just For You...We will still be having Bakersfield Comic Con in November (the 21st & 22nd) and we have asked VIC MIGNOGNA (who we were ready to announce for this years Bak-Anime here on FB, and he was already on the website), to come to BFCC and be a guest, meet the fans, do a panel, sell some pictures and spend the weekend with you fans. We have also asked and if they can still be guests at next years show, both just have to check next years schedules and will find out soon.
We will be refunding any ticket money in the next few days so please give us a little time. Anyone who purchased an Exhibitor table or Artist Alley table will be receiving a separate email within the next week.
Thank you all for the love and support for the past years and we will continue to keep you up on what is going on with Bak-Anime and our community right here. Also, Please support our local Comic Book / Gaming shops in the area… When this is all over we will be needing them more than ever.
