Handbound books and photo albums for every occasion! I am a bookbinder who mixes my traditional skills with fun and funky materials.

The books I create are made from upcycled materials and unique papers. The antique presses and vintage fonts in my home-based studio inspire my creativity. I can make a book out of ANYTHING!

An update on the press! It has been sanded and oiled and is in the studio. It took a lot of manpower to hoist this 400+ pounder into place. One of the other, much smaller presses, for scale.

Another great greater Boston area find is the in Newton. I wanted to buy everything in the shop! There is a good selection of fountain pens including Sailor, Kaweco, and TWISBI. They also have the Kakimori dip pen and pigment inks (which I am obsessed with for ink samples and short bites). The stationery selection is amazing. The owner and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely check it out if you are in the Boston vicinity.

Custom project to bind a gardening pamphlet into something “fancy.” This hand printed Italian paper with the floral design plus a chameleon, snail and frog was perfect!

Sunrise from Haleakala, a sacred sight considered the “House of the Sun” to native Hawaiians. My colleagues and I woke hours before dawn to see this amazing site before heading home.

The plant photo is the silversword that only grows on the slopes of Haleakala.

It doesn’t look like much yet but this is a folio sized cast iron book press I found at the DC Big Flea. I’ve never seen one this large before. I can’t wait to get it home, sanded and in use in the studio!

Finally made a visit to the renovated museum for some inspiration. The Sky’s the Limit Show is stunning, especially Alison Saar’s Undone and Rina Banerjees’s Lady of Commerce. The Remix show, highlighting the collection is equally impressive!

First shop update of 2024! Brand new fabric covered journals as well as a restock of old favorites. Because it is National LEGO Day there is a new garden themed journal made from LEGO baseplates.
